Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Upon your arrival at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you'll be picked up and transferred to your hotel in the downtown. The remainder of the day will be your own.

Day 2: Explore countryside of Hanoi
Free morning to explore the city on your own. In the afternoon, you'll drive to a small local community in the outskirt of Hanoi where you will enjoy a cup of tea while your guide will give a briefing session and self-introduction and about his village, tour, and bikes. You will then start pedaling through small alleys of Bac Bien village to the Duong river’s bank, followed by a local boat ferry to cross the river to its left bank .

Your ride will be along the dike, from villages to villages where we can see many traditional typical houses; pagodas, temples, local market and be caught in the beautiful rice paddy fields, gardens of vegetables and corns. You will stop under an old tree by the river for drinks, snacks, and photos. Heading back to the ferry. Crossing the Duong river by ferry again then have a drink with a family in the village to know more about their life, and the changes of the village & surrounding area. Return to Hanoi by car.

Day 3: Drive and Cycle to Tuyen Quang - Green Vietnam Lodge
After breakfast, you will transferred to the outskirt of Hanoi to start the ride. From there, you'll cycle along the dyke of the Red River toward Son Tay. After 1,5 hour biking, you'll hop on your support minibus to Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses. It will be your unique experience as you walk along tiny ancient alleys. From there, you will drive to Tuyen Quang for a further 15km ride to the Green Lodge located in remote area of Tuyen Quang and surrounded by orchards, gardens and nothing but nature’s beauty.

Day 4: Drive and Cycle to Ha Giang

After breakfast, you'll wander around the lodge and the local community before a 15km ride to the main road which takes you to Ha Giang. The city is in the far north and border with China. Few travelers make their way to this province and even fewer to the areas that you will be cycling through. Before arriving in Ha Giang, you'll turn left and ride further 5km to visit an authentic village of Tay people which retain traditional houses on stilt with thatched roofs and traditional customs. Ride back to the city centre for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Bike to Tam Son
Today you will start your challenging rides in this far north province. Just after leaving Ha Giang, you'll start riding uphill and continue through the day. After reaching the scenic Cong Troi Pass, you will drop into Tam Son, a very small town in a valley where you will spend the night.

Day 6: Bike to Yen Minh
After a simple breakfast, you will start the day with a fantastic descent into a lush valley. You will then follow a small river along the valley and pass the ruins of a French position from the Indochina war. You then start riding uphill again to reach the top of Doan Kiet pass before descending into Yen Minh, which sits at the base of another sub-range of mountains bordering China.

Day 7: Bike to Dong Van
Today you will enjoy some level ground as you leave the town and then after our first rest stop, start climbing. Today’s climbs are harder, but more spectacular, as we move into a higher altitude. You will climb through the black volcanic rock, where you will see various hill-tribes seeking out a living from this infertile ground. The colorful, traditional costumes of these people will help you to face the challenge of the mountains, and the views over these spectacular mountains and through the huge gorges will reward your efforts. Tonight you stay the night in Dong Van.

Day 8: Bike to Meo Vac
Today you will head to the beautiful view of Ma Pi Leng Pass. This is an interesting site of Geopark with the Nho Que river deep down the hill. Also nice Hmong village on your way down to Meo Vac town.

Day 9: Meo Vac – Bac Me
Today the ride is mostly road based. At first we tackle 12 km gentle climbs over To Vo Pass and then it is an undulating, idyllic route through friendly villages and paddy fields, surrounded by jagged limestone hills. Light lunch en route and we will reach the small town of Bac Me early afternoon. The rest of the day, we can explore this little town and its surroundings or relax with a cold beer in local bars.

Day 10: Bac Me – Yen Hoa – Dau Dang Waterfall
Ba Be National Park Just outside Bac Me, we cross the Gam River and leave the main road to follow a small track cross-country off-road all the way to Ba Be through forest and tribal villages, up and down hill all day long. Our support vehicle will not be able to follow us on this route and travel along way to meet us in Ba Be National Park. Depending to the condition of the track we will have an emergency vehicle or motorbike for water, food and first-aid. The ride involves three climbs, crossing a succession of river valleys, but is rideable all the way. At the village of Dan Dong, we will be transferred into traditional long boats for a relaxing 1.5-hr ride along the beautiful Nang River and cross the lake into the stunning Ba Be National Park. The park is centered on the country’s largest natural lake which is surrounded by limestone cliffs, waterfalls, caves and abundant of wildlife. We will have dinner and spend our night in a traditional house of Tay minority.

Overnight in Bac Me

Day 11: Ba Be – Hanoi
Today we have a relaxing and peaceful day. After the breakfast we say goodbye to the hosts and take a short walk through the village. We will board a long boat for a fantastic boat trip on the stunning Ba Be Lake. After 1.5-hr interesting boat trip reach Cho Ra Town. Drive 5 hrs back to Hanoi with a lunch stop on the way. The tour concludes at your hotel in Hanoi.

Day 12: Hanoi Departure
Free time till pick up to Noi Bai airport in Hanoi for your homeward flight. End of services.
